 The economical Mount Vernon series burns seven types of fuel, including three types of wood pellets, corn, wheat, sun flower seeds, peanut hull pellets, pea pellets and switch grass pellets.

 “As more inexpensive, renewable fuels are tested and approved, or as fuels change, the software inside the unit can be updated to accommodate the new fuels”, says Miller.

 Quadra-Fire’s Mount Vernon stoves and inserts are controlled by an easy-to-use digital wall thermostat – programmable up to seven days. Stoves and inserts also feature automatic ignition. They provide up to 60,000 BTUs input per hour, heat up to 3500 square feet, and offer more than 75% thermal efficiency. This high-efficiency unit features a new durable cast iron firebox with a new airfoil heat exchanger, tested by a NASA contracting engineering company to be the most efficient design on the market. The Mount Vernon has a self cleaning firepot for consistent automatic operation and reduced owner maintenance, along with a pull and tip cast iron hopper lid for easy fuel loading. Installation and set-up by JMJ crews usually takes less than two hours.

 The Mount Vernon line features 12-volt digitally controlled combustion and convection blowers, providing almost silent operation.
